Frugality is the quality of being economical with money or food; thriftiness. That’s basically what it means but the definition of frugality is different for each individual as each individual’s budget is different. Speaking from an Islamic point of view, extravagance and wastefulness is not part of a Muslim’s life and so is not miserliness. Islam is the Middle Path.
There are various examples of it in the Quran, the Sunnah – Teachings of the Prophet Muhummad (Peace be upon him), and the Islamic tradition.
